- Gather important data which can be used by GDPU to write proposals and present at conferences on this issue
- Determine locations of accessible latrines they plan to build.
In Uganda 1 in 5 persons over the age of 5 years has a disability (Demographic and Health Survey 2006).

Sanitation in Schools
Sanitation presents many problems for children with disabilities (CWDs) in Uganda. Lack of good latrines and washing facilities is one of the major reasons CWDs stop their education. This video highlights the problems CWDs face in schools. The poster says:
