Female Genital Mutilation
Besides causing pain and trauma throughout life female genital mutilation (FGM) can cause physical disability. The trauma of FGM has stayed with the women in this video throughout their lives. In 2010 a law was passed making FGM illegal. The 4,000 year old tradition however remains strong. FGM is a violation of the human rights of women. The poster says:
